I’m excited to share that my essay, At the 75-Meter Mark, was published on KidSpirit in the Awesome Moments section.
This piece is about one moment during a 100-meter butterfly race, when I reached the 75-meter mark and everything started to hurt. My arms felt heavy, my breathing was messy, and a small voice in my head kept telling me to stop.
But the essay is not just about swimming. It is about fear, doubt, and the moment when you realize that wanting to quit does not mean you have to quit. Writing it helped me understand that sometimes courage is not loud or dramatic. Sometimes it is just taking one more stroke.
I’m very grateful to KidSpirit for publishing my work.
